A private night in pursuit of the aurora, guided by locals who read the weather, the skies and the silence of the Arctic. Travelled in a Mercedes V-Class, we chase clear breaks in the cloud wherever the forecast leads — fjords, mountain passes or the quiet edge of the sea.

What you can expect
Weather, cloud cover and solar activity shape the route each night.
Your guide collects you in a private Mercedes V-Class. We review the aurora forecast, cloud cover and the night's plan before we leave the city.
We drive toward clear skies — fjords, mountain passes or the edge of the sea. The route is different every night and guided entirely by the conditions.
Once we reach a break in the cloud, we settle in. Your guide sets up a fire on the snow, hot drinks are served, and we wait for the sky to turn.
When the lights arrive, your guide helps with camera settings and framing so you leave with photographs, not just memories. There is no rush — this is your private night.
Between displays, we gather around the fire. Your guide shares stories of the Arctic, the science of the aurora and life under the polar night.
We head back when the night is done — whether that's a few hours or the full window. Timing is flexible and led by the sky.
The Aurora & The Night
The northern lights are a natural phenomenon driven by solar activity, and no one can guarantee a display. What we can promise is an expert guide who reads the forecast and the sky, a comfortable private vehicle, and a memorable Arctic evening regardless of the conditions. Clear skies matter more than the calendar — a single clear night in November can outshine a week in January. Some nights the aurora dances for hours; other nights the sky stays quiet. Patience is the craft, and the chase itself is the experience. Every decision is made to give you the best possible chance, with warmth, comfort and respect for the Arctic night.
